Anusha Balasingham’s journey into counselling was shaped by her personal experiences of abuse, trauma, and bullying, alongside struggles with self-esteem and learning disabilities.
These challenges inspired her to initially pursue a career in education, supporting students facing similar difficulties.
Her healing began through faith and the support of her husband, which led her to seek counselling and discover its transformative power. This inspired her to dedicate her life to helping others heal, marking the start of her counselling career.
Anusha specializes in childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Her empathetic, client-centred approach is rooted in addressing the root causes of pain and fostering healing through evidence-based techniques.
With over 20 years of experience, Anusha has worked with organizations like the Ministry of Education and Talk Your Heart Out, while also conducting youth programs on resilience and growth. As a mental health advocate, she has spoken on platforms like OLI 96.8 and Silver Ribbon.
Happily married and a mother of two, Anusha enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her pets. She finds fulfilment in witnessing her clients’ growth, helping them build healthier relationships and transform their lives.
With unwavering dedication, Anusha continues to make a profound impact on the individuals and families she supports.
