Having someone who is experienced and empathic to journey with you in your difficult moments in life is such a relief. It is enabling and healing. With this personal experience, coupled with intrigue about human relationships, and affirmations from friends, Soh Hiang ventured into counselling.

She comes with 18 years of counselling experience, majoring in marriage and family counselling. Besides completed a Master in Psychology, she is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Approach, then continued to get certification for Choice Theory and Reality Therapy. She has also completed Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1 and 2; Emotion Focused Therapy Level 1 to 4 and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. Her diverse exposures also include Gestalt and Systemic approach. Recognizing human being is an integrated whole, her approach is integrative. 

Having used Prepare-Enrich assessment with many couples, she was accorded seminar director (trainer) for Prepare-Enrich (an assessment and counselling tool for preparing couples for marriage and for enriching marriages). She has also championed marriage mentoring and compiled a program for that purpose. To address specific issue of Extra Marital Affair (EMA) and recovery, she was trained in Torn Asunder and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EMA).  

Having worked as a work life consultant and a wellness coach for multinational companies, Soh Hiang has counselled many expatriates. Her stay in India and China, equipped her with personal experience of transitioning into a new culture and working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Besides counselling, she has done many talks and workshops on youth, marriage and family, parenting, relationship matters and other psycho-social topics. 

She is blissfully married for more than 3 decades with 2 grown up daughters.
