Desiree, a trained psychologist and psychotherapist, holds a Master’s degree in Psychology – Counselling. She is passionate about helping individuals with self-development, such as increasing self-confidence and overcoming mid-career crises.  She believes in working closely with her clients to bring out the best in them and help them move forward.

Before becoming a psychologist, Desiree gained over a decade of experience in the commercial and finance industry. She has worked in France, Japan, and Indonesia before settling down in Singapore which has given her varied exposure to different cultures. Her professional experiences have helped her understand the importance of prioritizing mental wellbeing.

Desiree has over 8 years of clinical experience using various therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs including Person-centred Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family System Therapy (IFS), Solution Focus Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Positive Psychology techniques. 

In addition, she has completed Level 3 Practicum Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She is also certified in Clinical Trauma Professional, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Desiree is currently pursuing her doctorate in Applied Psychology, actively

researching on social media and Emotion Regulation. She enjoys sports and

physical activities, which keep her healthy. Fluent English speaker and Bahasa Indonesia, with some basic conversational level Japanese (which she still works hard to master) emphasizes her cross-cultural communication abilities.
